Club Observation Nights bring together club members of various levels of experience who are interested in sharing the hobby of astronomy as a group. Basically, A Club Observation Night is a gathering of three or more "club" members who get together for the purpose of observing. Club members are welcome to observe casually with no particular goal in mind or work toward goals of their own such as completing one of the Astronomical League's Observing Awards.

The Panhandle Astronomy Club was founded in the Fall of 2005 for anyone interested in sharing and learning about the fascinating hobby of astronomy with other like minded enthusiasts. Our membership is made up of Amateur Astronomers (many of who are just beginning). Most of our members are from the Wyobraska Panhandle and consist of all ages from grade schoolers to senior citizens. Our members have varying interests from learning to identify the constellations through naked-eye observations to Deep Sky Observing in their own private observatories. We welcome anyone who has an interest in and a desire to learn about our heavens above.
